About Greg and Joanne

I'm sorry to announce that we are no longer involved with the Trivani Company. We have not changed our minds about the products, they really are great. We also like the purpose of helping others in need. We simply have lost confidence in the company and have decided to move on. We are not looking for another network marketing company for now, we have too many other projects going on.

The Perils of Plastic

Did you read TIME Magazine's April 12th Issue with the headline article "The Perils of Plastic?" Much of this information won't come as a surprise to experienced Trivani users, but the article referred to yet more studies which have revealed the dangerous effects our chemical body burdens are having on our children.

Some key points from the article...

"A recent biomonitoring survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found traces of 212 environmental chemicals in Americans — including toxic metals like arsenic and cadmium, pesticides, flame retardants and even perchlorate, an ingredient in rocket fuel."

"Chemicals like bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates — key ingredients in modern plastics — may disrupt the delicate endocrine system, leading to developmental problems. A host of modern ills that have been rising unchecked for a generation — obesity, diabetes, autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder — could have chemical connections."

"CDC has found BPA in the urine of 93% of surveyed Americans over the age of 6.... But BPA the only industrial chemical in common use that may mess with the endocrine system. Phthalates — a class of chemicals used to soften polyvinyl chloride plastics, found in products ranging from shower curtains to cosmetics to intravenous-fluid bags — have been shown to disrupt hormones in animals and have been linked to reduced sperm counts and other marks of feminization in male rodents."

"Certain substances — including BPA and some phthalates — seem to be able to switch in vitro cells from becoming connective tissue to becoming fat cells, and a 2009 study from Belgium found that children exposed to higher levels of toxic chemicals like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) before birth were fatter than those who had lower exposure."

This article is a MUST-READ for anyone who is still sitting on the fence about their decision to switch to safe, phthalate and paraben-free products.

Happy Earth Day!

As a user of Trivani products, you can feel good about the products you use. Trivani's formulas contain no ingredients that harm the environment and neither do our containers.

Many Trivani products are made from rainforest ingredients and purchased from suppliers who get them from indigenous people using traditional methods that preserve the land and the trees. For example, Trivani buys all of its murumuru extract from special suppliers who buy it directly from the local tribes—a process that helps remote communities gain income opportunities and strengthens local economies. Botanical ingredients purchased through fair-trade programs reduce the economic drive to cut down trees. Trivani's packaging materials are recyclable, and our production partners contribute a portion of their profits to humanitarian causes. So when someone asks you today, 'what are you doing to save the planet?' you can say, 'washing my hair, brushing my teeth, and moisturizing with murumuru."

Trivani 287 Tea is Here!

Trivani's 287 Tea was officially launched Wednesday, April 14th at 7:00 p.m. The tea's name is a tribute to Trivani's 287 awareness campaign that warns consumers about the industrial and environmental toxins that have become part of our everyday lives. At Trivani, we urge people to protect themselves from the outside in by using personal care products that are absolutely free of harmful chemical pollutants. Now you can help your body protect itself from the inside out by drinking 287 Tea.

287 Tea supports the detoxification of your lymphatic system, blood, liver and other vital organs; it helps the body rid itself of heavy metals and supports the body’s fight against damage caused by toxins.

You can read more about the incredible health benefits of the ingredients, and about the 287 business building ideas by clicking here.

Ingredients, Features & Benefits

Sheep sorrel, Burdock root, Slippery Elm bark, and Chinese Rhubarb are the four ingredients of Nurse Caisse’s legendary formula. They are known for their diuretic properties and are used to support the body’s efforts to detoxify the blood and liver and support its overall well-being. Trivani’s 287 Tea has the same percentages of these four ingredients as Nurse Caisse’s original formula which she based on Native American formulations.

The Blazei mushroom is high in beta glucans, compounds known for stimulating the immune system. There are several new, impressive studies on this ingredient coming out of Asia. (See www.PubMed.com to read studies about the benefits of this single ingredient.) Trivani is one of the first companies in the world to use this ingredient.

Fo Ti, also known as Polygonum Multiflorum, supports all of the glands in the body’s endocrine system: the pituitary gland, the hypothalamus, the thyroid glands, adrenal glands, sex glands, thymus, and the pineal gland. These glands regulate just about every function in the body including our growth and hormones.

Dandelion root has traditionally been used to support kidney health, reduce swelling, ease digestive disorders and improve the body’s elimination processes.

New evidence indicates that Gingko Biloba supports blood flow to the brain, improving circulation by dilating the blood vessels and reducing the stickiness of blood platelets. Gingko Biloba is adaptogenic which means this ingredient adjusts to benefit each person individually. Gingko leaves also contain flavonoids and terpenoids believed to have strong antioxidant properties.

“Selenium may reduce the risk of certain cancers. Some scientific evidence suggests that consumption of selenium may reduce the risk of certain forms of cancer. However, FDA has determined that this evidence is limited and not conclusive.” –Official FDA statement

Star anise contains components used in Tamiflu®. It also has a delicious flavor.
